POC*it Digital Pregnancy test is a rapid test, which uses the later-flow method to test for hCG. hCG is a reliable indicator to determine pregnancy according to international standards. Human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) is a hormone that is found in large quantities in the urine of pregnant women and rarely occurs in women who are not pregnant. The tests provide qualitative evidence for urinary hCG (yes or no) by a double antibody sandwich method. This POC*it quality test has a sensitivity of 25 mlU/ml. In many women, hCG is detectable the day after the period has stopped. Any urine sample can be used for the test; but the first-morning urine is optimal, where the hCG concentration is at the highest. If a urine sample is too low concentrated (e.g. low specific gravity), it may not contain enough hCG. If pregnancy is still suspected, the test should be repeated after 48 hours with another urine sample.
